Passive voice adalah suatu grammatical construction (bentuk gramatikal) dimanasubject pada sentence (kalimat) atau clause(klausa) tidak melakukan aksi, melainkan menerima aksi atau ditindaklanjuti (receiver of action) oleh agent lain (doer of action) baik disebutkan ataupun tidak. 

Sebaliknya, pada konstruksi active, subject pada sentence atau clause berhubungan langsung dengan verb dengan bertindak sebagai pelaku aksi.

1.    Passive voice Simple Present Tense 

Rumus : Objek + to be + V3(Past Participle Verb) + by + Subjek

Contoh :

1.       He Sing A Song.A Song is sing by Him.

2.       He eat a cake. A cake is eat by him.

3.       He sit a chair. A chair is sit by him.

4.       He ride a bike. A bike is ride by him.

5.       He bring a handpone. A handphone is bring by him.

6.       She cook a cake. A cake is cook by Her

7.       She clean a House. A house is clean by her.

8.       She watch a television. A television is watch by her

9.       She take a letter. A letter take by her.

10.   She give a gift. A gift give by her.

2.    Passive Voice Simple Past Tenses

Rumus :

Object of the active sentence + was/were + past participle form of the verb + by + subject of the active sentence

Contoh :

1.      He Sang a song. A song was sang by Him.

2.      He ate a cake . A cake was eatten by him.

3.      He sitted a chair. A schair was sitted by Him.

4.      He rided a bike. A bike was rided by him.

5.      He bringed a handphone. A handphone was bringed by him.

6.      She cooked a cake. A cake was cooked by her.

7.      She cleaned a house. A house was cleaned by her.

8.      She wathed a television. A television was watched by her.

9.      She took a letter. A latter was takken by her.

10.  She gave a gift. A gift was given by her.

3.    Simple Future Tense

Rumus :

Object of the active sentence + will/shall + be + past participle form of the verb + by + subject of the active sentence

Contoh : 

1.       He will sing a song. A song will be singing by him

2.       He will eat a cake. A cake will be eaten by him

3.       He will sit a chair. A chair will be sitting by him

4.       He will ride a bike. A bike will be ridding by him

5.        He will bring a handphone. A handphone will be bringing by him.

6.        She will cook a cake. A cake will be cooking by her

7.       She will clean a house. A house will be cleaning by Her

8.       She will watch a television. A television will be watching by her

9.       She will take a letter. A letter will be taken by her

10.   She will give a gift. A gift will be given by her.

Conditional sentence ialah complex sentence yang terdiri dari dependent clause yang diawali dengan subordinate conjunction ”if” berupa condition (syarat) dan independent clause berupa result/consequence (hasil) dari condition-nya. Rumus Conditional Sentence Type 2

if + condition, result/consequence

if + simple past, would/could/might + bare infinitive

      atau tanpa menggunakan koma:

result/consequence + if + condition

would/could/might + bare infinitive + if + simple past

Contoh conditional Sentence type 2 :

              1.      If you were here yesterday, I would gave that dress

              2.      If Indra booked first the table, I would with you tonight

              3.      If I had much time, I would take you around the city

              4.      If I were a boy, I would lift that chair alone

              5.      If it not came tomorrow, I would go it self

if + past perfect, would/should/could/might have + past participle

      atau tanpa menggunakan koma:

result/consequence + if + condition

would/should/could/might have + past participle + if + past perfect

Contoh conditional Sentence type 3 :

2.       If They were joined the classroom, I would have listened the lesson

3.       If Nurul had showed the problem, I would have solved the problem
